✨ A Soft Return — Catching My Breath, Finding My Layers Again

Image
It feels like forever since I’ve shown up here, but maybe that’s the beauty of softness: it gives you space to step back, breathe, and come home to yourself again. Late November moved fast — new routines, new experiences, and a handful of tender shifts that reminded me why I started Alice in Yoga Pants in the first place. Even in the quiet, I stayed wrapped in my rituals: fresh diapers, pastel leggings, soft sports bras, and the cozy layers that keep me grounded in who I am. I just hadn’t put the words down. So here I am again, settling back into this space with gratitude. Thank you for still being here. 💗 I’m excited to bring new Thursday Layers, new Support Sundays, and new reflections from the journey — including a few gentle lessons I’ve been gathering quietly behind the scenes. Here’s to softness, to showing up when it feels right, and to continuing this path together. — Alice 🩷🩵 #aliceinyogapants #softreturn #selfacceptance #gentlemoments #diaperedan...

Support Sunday — “The Strength You Don’t See (But Feel Anyway)

Image
There’s a kind of strength we rarely talk about — the kind that doesn’t shout, flex, or sparkle under gym lights. It doesn’t look impressive in photos. It doesn’t get applause. It’s quieter. Closer. A strength that sits under everything else, like the softest base layer you don’t even realize is doing all the work. This week, I found myself thinking about that hidden strength — the kind we build not by pushing harder, but by allowing ourselves to stay supported. The strength you feel, not the strength you perform. For me, it shows up in little moments: When I change into a fresh diaper and feel my body relax because I’m safe. When I pull on leggings that hug instead of punish. When I sit on my mat and take one honest breath instead of forcing myself through a routine I’m not ready for. When I ask for help — even quietly — instead of pretending I’m fine. None of those moments would show up on a fitness tracker. But every single one adds to my real strength — the inne...

🌸 Support Sunday — Coming Home to Your Core

Image
Before we start exploring the muscles, movements, and mindful moments of pelvic floor work, let’s take a pause to simply come home to our bodies. So often, those of us living with incontinence learn to brace — to hold tension, to tighten, to protect. We forget that support doesn’t begin with strength; it begins with softness. The pelvic floor, after all, is not a wall — it’s a hammock. It supports, it yields, it moves with us. This week, instead of thinking about “training” or “fixing,” try this: Sit quietly for one minute. Breathe into your lower belly. Feel how the body rises and falls, how the seat of your body meets the surface beneath you. That gentle awareness is support. Here’s to starting this next phase of Alice in Yoga Pants with softness and curiosity — to letting strength unfold, not forcing it. —Alice. 🌸 Still Here, Still Soft — and Ready to Move Again

Image
It’s been a while since I’ve shared as Alice in Yoga Pants , but lately I’ve felt that familiar pull — that mix of softness, strength, and self-acceptance that started this whole journey in the first place. When I looked back at what resonated most with all of you, it was clear: the stories that mattered were about comfort and confidence — about learning to move, stretch, and live in our bodies as they are. Three of the top posts were about leggings and diapers; the other two about the pelvic floor and incontinence. Together, they tell a story of wholeness — of finding courage where others expect shame, and freedom where there’s often silence. So, moving forward, Alice in Yoga Pants will focus more deeply on those two threads — the visible and invisible layers that shape confidence: 🌿 Fitness Friday: practical, playful posts on yoga, leggings, and managing the VDL (Visible Diaper Line) with style and self-assurance. 🌸 Support Sunday: deeper reflections on the pelvic flo...

Support Sunday Pose by Pose Spotlight — Week 18 Breathwork Focus: Diaphragmatic & Pelvic Floor Breathing

Image
A whole week dedicated to breath awareness and pelvic floor synergy Welcome to the final week of Cycle Two: Soft Strength & Release . Over the past two months, we’ve stretched, strengthened, and softened. Now, we come home to the quiet rhythm beneath it all— the breath . This week, we’re focusing on Diaphragmatic & Pelvic Floor Breathing —a gentle, mindful practice that links your breath to your body’s natural rhythm. It’s subtle, soothing, and incredibly healing. 🌬️ How to do it: Sit or lie comfortably, spine tall or supported. Place one hand on your chest and the other on your belly. Inhale gently through your nose, feeling your belly rise first (not your chest). Exhale slowly through your mouth, letting your belly fall. Once you feel settled, begin to notice the natural lift and drop of your pelvic floor: On the inhale , it gently expands. On the exhale , it softens and releases. 🕊️ Duration: Practice for 3–5 minutes , or as long as ...

Image
Gentle floor strength builder for pelvic stability Welcome back to Support Sunday ! This week’s pose, Side-Lying Clamshell , blends yoga and pelvic floor physical therapy. It’s subtle but powerful—strengthening the hips and stabilizing the pelvic muscles that support everyday confidence and control. 🧘‍♀️ How to do it: Lie on your side with your knees bent and stacked, feet together. Rest your head on your arm or a small pillow. Keep your hips stacked (don’t roll backward).   Wide-legged stance, powerful but soft—strength with openness Welcome back to Support Sunday ! We’re in the middle of Cycle Two: Soft Strength & Release , and this week, we step into one of the most empowering postures of all: Goddess Pose . It’s a shape of power, openness, and grounding—like sitting on a throne made of your own strength. But here, power doesn’t come from clenching or forcing. It comes from balance, breath, and softness. 🧘‍♀️ How to do it: Begin standing with your feet wider than hip-width apart. Turn your toes out about 45 degrees. Bend your knees and lower into a squat, keeping your spine tall. Bring your hands together at your heart, or extend your arms out wide, elbows bent, palms open. Image
A variation of Legs-Up-the-Wall without the wall—portable, comforting, deeply grounding Welcome back to Support Sunday ! We’re in Cycle Two: Soft Strength & Release , and this week brings one of the simplest yet most comforting poses: Legs Over Bolster . Support Sunday Pose by Pose Spotlight — Week 11 Supported Bridge (with block)

Image
A gentler, longer hold version of Bridge—emphasizing release over strength Welcome back to Support Sunday ! We’re in Cycle Two: Soft Strength & Release , where each week brings another small gift of rest and gentle power. Last week we softened into Reclined Bound Angle Pose, and today we shift into a restorative version of Bridge. Instead of lifting and holding with effort, we’ll rest on support—learning that sometimes, release is the deepest form of strength. 🧘‍♀️ How to do it: Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet hip-width apart, close to your hips. Press into your feet and gently lift your hips a few inches. Slide a yoga block (or a stack of folded towels/pillows) under your sacrum. Let your hips settle onto the block, arms resting at your sides, palms up. Relax your jaw, soften your belly, and breathe deeply. 🕊️ Duration: Stay supported for 1 2–15 minutes . Focus on slow, expansive breaths. Feel your pelvic floor soften with each e...

Support Sunday Reminder: Why the “Why” Matters

Image
Just a little reminder from me, Alice in Yoga Pants. 🌸 When incontinence first entered my life, I’ll admit—I did what so many of us do. I stayed up late at night with my phone, Googling every possible cause, reading medical articles I barely understood, and scrolling through endless posts online. It felt like if I could just find the right explanation, I’d finally feel in control. But here’s what I’ve learned: searching like that rarely brings peace. It usually brings more confusion, more fear, and sometimes even shame. What does help? This community. Here, we can share the “how” with each other: What diapers, pads, or covers actually work. How to care for our skin and prevent irritation. Which clothing choices or layering tricks make us feel confident. Even yoga stretches, breathing, and routines that make daily life softer. That’s the beauty of being together—we get to swap ideas, lift each other up, and remind ourselves that we’re not alone. But the “why”—the r...

Wardrobe Wednesday - A Week in Yoga Pants and Leggings with Alice

Image
One of the things I’ve learned about myself is that life feels softer, easier, and more authentic when I lean into what makes me comfortable. For me, that means wearing yoga pants and leggings as my daily uniform—and yes, having the security of diapers and plastic pants underneath. I used to think leggings were only for the gym or lounging at home. But this past week, I committed to living fully in them: seven days, no exceptions. Just outfits, outings, and daily life. Here’s how it unfolded: Monday: A Simple Start I began the week with olive drab leggings and a black embroidered tunic with a ruffled hem. The tunic floated just low enough to soften outlines, while the leggings remained the focus. Black boots grounded the look. Running errands used to be filled with dread, but this outfit let me feel composed and relaxed. I even caught my reflection in a shop window and thought: Yes. This is me. Tuesday: Yoga Flow For yoga, I wore lavender 7/8 leggings with a white tank over my sports b...

Image
Welcome to Support Sunday, where we continue our soft journey through poses that nurture the pelvic floor, calm the nervous system, and remind you that even diapered bodies deserve dignity, beauty, and strength. This week, we’re unfolding. From the curled embrace of Child’s Pose, we now open into stillness, letting the body rest fully. A pose of surrender, softness, and complete release. Let’s lie back together in the healing quiet of Savasana with Diaphragmatic Breathing. How to do it: Lie flat on your back in Savasana. Place one hand on your chest and one on your belly. Support Sunday – Pose by Pose Spotlight: Week 7 Pelvic Tilts (on back or on hands and knees)

Image
How to do it: Choose your position—either lying comfortably on your back with knees bent, or on all fours with hands under shoulders and knees under hips. Gently tilt your pelvis forward, letting your lower back arch slightly, then tilt it back, flattening your lower back or rounding your spine. Move slowly and intentionally, focusing on how your lower belly and pelvic floor feel as you move. Reps: 10–15 slow, mindful repetitions. Note: "This is a whisper of movement —just a nudge, a curl, and a loving lift. You don’t have to force it; think of it as a soft conversation with your body, one that reminds you it’s safe, strong, and cared for." Why it’s wonderful for pelvic health: Pelvic tilts help awaken and strengthen your deep core and pelvic floor muscles without strain. They improve circulation, bring awareness to your posture, and help release tension in your lower back and hips. They’re a beautiful starting point for reconnecting to your body after injury, surg...
