Morning, Already Settled - Mornings don’t need convincing anymore.

Image
There was a time when getting dressed felt like a negotiation, between comfort and appearance, between what I needed and what I thought I was allowed to choose. That tension used to live right at the start of the day. It doesn’t now. I wake up and move slowly, not because I’m fragile, but because I don’t need to rush past myself. A fresh diaper. Soft plastic pants. Leggings that feel familiar in my hands. These aren’t decisions that require courage anymore. They’re part of the order of things, like brushing my teeth or tying my shoes. Getting dressed is quiet. There’s no mirror moment that demands commentary. No checking to see if I look “acceptable.” I pull things on the way I always do, adjusting fabric with practiced ease. Comfort settles first. Everything else follows. This is what living softly looks like in the morning, not ceremony, not self-care theater. Just care, built into the routine. The house feels calm when I’m calm. Light comes in through the windows. My tote wait...

Living Softly, in Leggings

Image
I don’t feel the need to explain myself as much anymore. Not because the questions stopped, but because the answers have settled into my body. Soft Strength did that. It taught me that I don’t need to brace before being seen, and I don’t need to harden in order to move through the world. What I’m noticing now is quieter. My days begin gently. I get dressed without negotiating with myself. A fresh diaper. Soft plastic pants. Leggings pulled on with familiarity, not ceremony. Comfort is no longer a decision I debate; it’s something I reach for the way other people reach for coffee in the morning. Automatically. Without commentary. There’s nothing dramatic about it anymore. And that feels like progress. This isn’t confidence in the loud sense. It’s something steadier. It’s presence. I leave the house already settled. I don’t scan for reflections as often. I don’t rehearse explanations in my head. I carry my tote, move through errands, step into studios and cafés the way I step into my ...

Alice in Bloomers: A Fashion Statement for Yoga, Leggings, and Beyond

Image
A new year doesn’t always ask us to become harder, smaller, or more disciplined. Sometimes, it asks us to become softer and more honest. Bloomers aren’t just a relic of history. They’re a whisper of freedom, softness, and movement. Once worn to challenge norms and allow women to move more freely, bloomers have always had a little rebellion stitched into their seams. And lately, I’ve found myself circling back to them, right alongside roomy yoga shorts as a way of blending comfort, confidence, and playful self-expression. Because let’s be honest: bloomers, yoga shorts, and even my billowy plastic pants share something magical. Puffy. Elastic-waisted. Forgiving. They celebrate volume instead of hiding it. And for someone like me, always padded, always a little crinkly, they don’t just cover. They rejoice . Yoga Shorts: Minimal & Practical Take the navy yoga shorts I’ve been eyeing at the studio, loose, breathable, and made for movement. They’re designed to let thighs stretch,...

🌿 Layering for Leakage: My Exact Setup for Yoga, Pilates, and Busy Days

Image
Part of the Soft Strength Series by Alice in Yoga Pants If there’s one question, I get more than any other, it’s this: “Okay… but what do you actually wear?” Not in theory. Not in product descriptions. But real life,  yoga class, errands, long days, busy schedules, movement, leaks, confidence, and softness all included. So today I’m sharing my exact layering setup,  the one I rely on when I need to move freely, stay protected, and feel like myself from morning practice to afternoon coffee. This isn’t about hiding. It’s about working with your body so you can stop thinking about leaks and start living. 🌸 The Philosophy Behind My Layers Before we get specific, here’s the mindset shift that changed everything for me: Each layer has a job. No layer should fight another. When layers compete, tight elastics, stacked waistbands, compression on compression, discomfort shows up fast. When layers cooperate, everything softens. That’s the goal. 🩵 Layer 1: The Diaper ...

✨ The Soft Belt: How to Wear Leggings Over Diapers Without Feeling Bulky

Image
Part of the Soft Strength Series by Alice in Yoga Pants There’s a moment every padded yogi knows well. You slip into your leggings, smooth the waistband, take one breath… and immediately wonder: “Is this too puffy?” “Is my diaper too obvious?” “Do I look bulky?” If you’ve ever asked those questions, welcome to something I call the Soft Belt,  the relationship between your diaper, your waistband height, your leggings, and your confidence. When you understand how these pieces work together, everything feels lighter. Softer. Easier. And suddenly your leggings don’t just fit. They belong on you. 🌿 Step 1: Start With a Diaper That Matches Your Movement Your base layer matters. Not because of hiding, but because of harmony . If you’re going to yoga or Pilates, choose a diaper that: • has a high-rise fit • holds shape as it warms • has firm-but-flexible wings • creates smooth lines under stretch fabrics A diaper that collapses or bunches creates the “bulky” feeling, not...

🌿 Thursday Layers — Week 2 From Mat to Outfit

Image
There’s something magical about that moment after yoga — when the movement settles, your breathing softens, and the body feels both grounded and light. That’s when I shift from practice to pampering. For me, it starts with a fresh diaper and a deep exhale. 🩵 The kind of softness that says, “You did enough today.” Then I slip into my lavender sports bra — that first gentle hug that reminds me to breathe — followed by smooth, stretchy leggings that hold everything just right, and finally a cozy hoodie that feels like a reward for showing up. Thursday Layers is about celebrating those quiet transitions that carry us through the week — the shift from mat to outfit, strength to softness, motion to stillness. This week’s layer isn’t about performance or polish; it’s about presence. Taking the time to reset, refresh, and wrap yourself in what feels most like you — inside and out. 🌸 After practice comes pampering. A fresh diaper, soft leggings, and my favorite hoodie — that’s how I re...

🌿 When Soft Dreams Shift: What I Learned from Building Cotton Tail

Image
There’s something beautiful about creating with your heart — about dreaming up a brand, a story, and a promise that reflect the comfort you wish for yourself and others. Cotton Tail Diapers was exactly that for me: a vision of softness, confidence, and acceptance for anyone navigating life in diapers — not as a secret, but as a source of strength. Over the past year, I poured my energy into building something gentle and trustworthy. I met kind people, learned about suppliers, packaging, pricing, and all the behind-the-scenes details that make a dream feel tangible. But I also learned how easily those dreams can run into walls that patience and passion alone can’t move. After months of supplier delays, pricing standstills, and shifting promises, I realized something important: sometimes, the kindest thing you can do for a dream is give it rest. So Cotton Tail Diapers is taking a soft pause. Not because the heart behind it disappeared — but because that heart is still learning, ...

Wardrobe Wednesday — From the Inside Out Week 2 Colors Beneath the Layers

Image
Before anyone sees the tunic or the yoga pants, I start with color. Underneath today’s outfit there’s a whisper of pastel—prints that make me smile and plastic pants that glow softly under fabric. When the colors beneath echo the colors above, my whole look feels intentional… and my confidence shows up before I do. My go-to pairings this week Mint on Mint: Luminous mint fleece shorts over a pastel-print diaper   and plastic pants . Fresh, fun, and mood-lifting. Lavender & Navy: Navy yoga pants with lavender-leaning CTD prints peeking only for me; top with a lavender scrunchie for a tiny, visible echo. Boxwood Wine & Cream: Hint the Boxwood Wine set with a cream or blush tunic . Underneath, white diaper + frosted plastic pants keeps the look luxe, not loud. Soft Neutrals, Happy Hearts: Oatmeal tunic + charcoal leggings over pastel printed diaper ; plastic pants keep everything smooth so fabrics drape beautifully. Why it works: A small echo of ...

Wardrobe Wednesday — From the Inside Out Week 1 The Foundation of Confidence

Image
Because every outfit starts from the inside out Part of my new ‘From the Inside Out’ series — exploring how confidence begins in comfort. Before the tunic, before the yoga pants, before the lipstick or perfume — there’s the layer that starts it all. For me, confidence begins in what most people never see: a soft, secure diaper and the gentle shimmer of plastic pants. Those two layers have carried me through long workdays, spontaneous coffee runs, and quiet evenings alike. They’re not just protection — they’re permission. 🩷 Permission to move without worry. 🌿 Permission to smile, swish, and focus on living instead of hiding. 💜 Permission to be comfortable in every sense of the word. There was a time when I saw those layers as something to conceal. Now, I see them as the foundation that lets everything else flow. My tunics hang better, my leggings feel smoother, my energy feels lighter. It’s amazing how much strength can come from softness. That’s what Cotton Tail Diapers is al...

Proudly Padded: Why Comfort Isn’t a Secret

Image
Every body has its own story. Mine includes diapers — and that’s not a confession, it’s just a fact. For years I tried to hide it, to minimize it, to pretend it didn’t shape the way I moved through the world. But comfort, confidence, and authenticity don’t grow in hiding. So here I am, proudly padded, softly confident — living the yoga-mom life I love. My leggings, longline bras, tunics, and yoga pants are more than clothes; they’re my way of saying comfort can still be beautiful. Diapers are part of that story — not a limitation, not a secret, but one layer of softness that lets me live, move, and laugh without fear. I’ve learned to choose styles and products that blend absorbency with aesthetics, finding pieces that let me feel fresh, secure, and stylish all day. That’s what Alice in Yoga Pants is about. It’s not just fashion; it’s freedom. It’s showing that being diapered can coexist with everything else that makes us vibrant — yoga, confidence, kindness, self-expression, and commu...

A New Adventure: Cotton Tail Diapers

Image
If you’ve been following along with my journey, you already know diapers have been part of my reality for years now. What started as something I resisted has slowly turned into something I’ve embraced—layered under yoga pants, skirts, tunics, or even just paired with confidence and a smile. Over time, I realized that what I wear underneath matters just as much as the outfits I share with you here. Comfort, protection, dignity, and yes—playfulness—are all part of living fully in this body. And out of that realization grew something new: Cotton Tail Diapers. 🐇✨ Cotton Tail is more than just a store. It’s a place for softness and self-assurance. A place where diapers aren’t hidden away in brown boxes, but celebrated with pastel tones, cheeky bunny touches, and designs that make you feel cared for. Whether you need them every day like me, or you’re simply curious, the heart of Cotton Tail is about blending comfort with style, and practicality with joy. This blog will still be fu...

Fitness Friday: What’s in the Tote—The Yoga Mom Diaper Bag

Image
We’ve talked about Beyond the VDL—Layers of Confidence for the Yoga Mom Life . But sometimes, confidence isn’t just about what you wear—it’s about what you carry. Enter my trusty yoga mom tote. 💜 For those of us who live in diapers, a well-packed bag isn’t just convenience—it’s confidence. Knowing I’ve got everything I need means I can walk into class (or out to coffee after) without a second thought. 1. Pack Smart, Not Heavy Diapers & plastic pants : Always at least one full change, tucked neatly in a pouch or discreet wet bag. Wipes & powder : Baby powder spray for quick refreshes, wipes for comfort. Legging saver : A spare pair in case sweat or leaks happen. 2. Make It Yours Your tote doesn’t have to scream “diaper bag.” Mine is soft, stylish, and carries the scent of my Bois de Balincourt perfume. It feels like part of my outfit—just as essential as leggings and scrunchies. 3. Cover & Camouflage Here’s a trick: slinging the tote across one hip doubles as natu...

🌼 Support Sunday Reflection: Crinkly Memories — Plastic Pants & Nostalgia

Image
Plastic Pants & Memory Crinkles. Before I could put words to feelings, I had the sound of crinkles. Before I knew what comfort meant, I felt the puff of plastic pants being tugged into place. This is a story about something small that stayed with me—not just in memory, but in daily life. About how softness, care, and even a little squeak can become part of who we are. Sometimes the smallest things hold the biggest feelings. For me, plastic pants are one of those. Those shiny, puffed little waterproof covers weren’t just fabric. They were an era. They were the sound of childhood. On warm spring and summer days, they were practically the uniform: a diaper underneath, a soft T-shirt on top, and those billowy pants puffing and squeaking with every move. Backyards were full of it—kids running, tumbling, climbing—a whole chorus of crinkles. I didn’t think much about it then. It was just… normal. But the details stuck. The tug of elastic at my waist. The puff of air as they slid ...

From Leggings to Diaper: The Zero-Turn Rodeo

Image
There I was—Saturday morning, coffee in hand, staring down the jungle my yard had become. The zero-turn mower was waiting like a bucking bronco, and I was dressed in the least OSHA-approved mowing outfit possible: shiny leggings stretched over a big, puffy diaper. Why? Because when you’re incontinent, you don’t always get the choice. What you can choose is whether to mope about it—or laugh and turn yard work into a comedy show. I picked the second option. The Setup I swung onto the mower like a wannabe stunt double, leggings squeaking against the vinyl seat. Almost instantly, my plastic pants started slipping below my waistband, leaving me perched on what felt like a human slip ’n slide. From the porch, I could see one of my neighbors sipping coffee. Little did they know, they were about to witness Saturday Morning Live. The Ride I fired up the mower and tore off like a pastel NASCAR rookie. Every bump bounced me sideways, every sharp turn sent me drifting. The diaper puff shif...

Wardrobe Wednesday: Dressing for the Gym or Yoga—Even in Diapers (Like Me)

Image
Welcome to Wardrobe Wednesday! Each week, I’m sharing real-life outfit ideas, tips, and reflections on how I dress for yoga, the gym, and daily life while managing incontinence. For me, that means wearing thick diapers and plastic baby pants under everything I own—and still showing up with softness, style, and confidence. Whether you wear protection too, or just need gentle encouragement to feel good in your body, I hope you find a little inspiration here. 💗 🌸 Dressing for the Studio (Yes, With Diapers) When I first started doing yoga again, I had no idea what to wear. Not just for style—but for security, comfort, and confidence. I needed protection I could trust… and I also wanted to look cute. That’s not always an easy combo when you’re padded and crinkly underneath. But after four months of consistent practice, dozens of classes, and a few wonderfully squeaky mishaps—I’ve figured out what works. 🩷 Base Layer: Protection First Diaper: I use thick but trim-fitting ad...

Every Crinkle Counts: Reflections on Going Public with My Yoga Story

Image
I wasn’t planning to go viral on Reddit. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure I should hit “post.” Part of me kept saying, don’t do it, you’ll regret it. Another part whispered, just tell the truth. So I did. I wrote what I needed to say: “I do yoga in diapers and plastic baby pants. I’m still figuring out how to wear short shorts or leggings without feeling like I don’t belong.” Then I clicked “post.” And immediately felt sick. What if no one gets it? What if people laugh? What if I’ve just ruined everything by being honest? But then— it happened. Love. Kindness. Humor. Vulnerability. Encouragement. Over 64,000 views. More than 430 upvotes. Dozens and dozens of comments. Some from people who live with incontinence. Some from yoga teachers. Fellow students. People with prosthetics. People who’ve wrestled with body shame. And even strangers who just wanted to say, “You’re valid.” I cried. More than once. I laughed, too (someone literally said she tossed her prosthetic boob into ...

💕 Breathing Into the Crinkle: What Pelvic Floor PT Taught Me This Week

Image
I had physical therapy again today with my pelvic floor specialist, and wow—this week took me deeper than I expected. We focused on four practices: • Pelvic floor engagement and release • Diaphragmatic (belly) breathing • Happy Baby pose with breath • Legs up the wall They sound gentle, right? But I learned how powerful—and surprisingly challenging—they really are. Especially when you’re proudly padded like me. At one point, she gently pointed out that my breathing pattern was working against my pelvic floor. I was unintentionally bracing and pushing down, creating the opposite effect of what I wanted. My body was doing its best, but it needed a softer kind of attention. That moment hit hard. What I’m Learning I’ve always thought of my incontinence as something I just had to manage—diapers, plastic pants, careful planning. But pelvic floor therapy is teaching me to relate to my body differently. Not just to control it, but to understand it. To breathe with it. To soften ...
