Support Sunday — “The Strength You Don’t See (But Feel Anyway)

There’s a kind of strength we rarely talk about — the kind that doesn’t shout, flex, or sparkle under gym lights. It doesn’t look impressive in photos. It doesn’t get applause.

It’s quieter. Closer. A strength that sits under everything else, like the softest base layer you don’t even realize is doing all the work.

This week, I found myself thinking about that hidden strength — the kind we build not by pushing harder, but by allowing ourselves to stay supported.

The strength you feel, not the strength you perform.

For me, it shows up in little moments:

  • When I change into a fresh diaper and feel my body relax because I’m safe.

  • When I pull on leggings that hug instead of punish.

  • When I sit on my mat and take one honest breath instead of forcing myself through a routine I’m not ready for.

  • When I ask for help — even quietly — instead of pretending I’m fine.

None of those moments would show up on a fitness tracker.
But every single one adds to my real strength — the inner, unshakeable kind that keeps me going even on messy days.

Support doesn’t weaken you — it frees you.

There’s something so beautiful about embracing the things that hold you up, whether they’re people, practices, or, yes, soft padded layers that let you move through the world without fear.

Support isn’t a crutch.
Support is a strategy.
Support is how you protect your energy so you can use it where it actually matters.

Your softness is not the opposite of strength — it’s part of it.

This week, I want you to lean into what supports you:

  • Your routines

  • Your comfort items

  • Your breathing

  • Your clothing

  • Your community

  • Your rest

  • Your softness

Let them do their quiet magic. Let them hold you up so you can rise in your own time, in your own way.

Because the strength you don’t see?
You’ll feel it — in every choice that lets you stay soft, safe, and steady.
