Support Sunday Reminder: Why the “Why” Matters

Image
Just a little reminder from me, Alice in Yoga Pants. 🌸 When incontinence first entered my life, I’ll admit—I did what so many of us do. I stayed up late at night with my phone, Googling every possible cause, reading medical articles I barely understood, and scrolling through endless posts online. It felt like if I could just find the right explanation, I’d finally feel in control. But here’s what I’ve learned: searching like that rarely brings peace. It usually brings more confusion, more fear, and sometimes even shame. What does help? This community. Here, we can share the “how” with each other: What diapers, pads, or covers actually work. How to care for our skin and prevent irritation. Which clothing choices or layering tricks make us feel confident. Even yoga stretches, breathing, and routines that make daily life softer. That’s the beauty of being together—we get to swap ideas, lift each other up, and remind ourselves that we’re not alone. But the “why”—the r...

🌿 Support Sunday Pose by Pose Spotlight — Week 10 Reclined Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana)

Image
Welcome back to Support Sunday ! We’re beginning Cycle Two: Soft Strength & Release —and we’re starting with one of the most restorative poses in yoga. This week’s pose invites us to rest deeply, soften our pelvic floor, and feel completely supported. 🧘‍♀️ How to do it: Lie down on your back on a comfortable surface (mat, blanket, or bed). Bring the soles of your feet together and let your knees gently fall open to the sides, like butterfly wings. Place pillows, yoga blocks, or folded blankets under each thigh for support—so you can fully relax. You can also slide a cushion under your head, and even a bolster or pillow under your spine for extra comfort. Rest your arms beside you, palms up. 🕊️ Duration: Stay here for 3–5 minutes , or longer if it feels good. Focus on slow belly breaths and let your pelvic floor melt open with every exhale. 💞 Note: “Butterfly wings resting on pillows—your body is safe, soft, and beautiful. Let the earth hold you ...

🌼 Support Sunday Reflection: Crinkly Memories — Plastic Pants & Nostalgia

Image
Plastic Pants & Memory Crinkles. Before I could put words to feelings, I had the sound of crinkles. Before I knew what comfort meant, I felt the puff of plastic pants being tugged into place. This is a story about something small that stayed with me—not just in memory, but in daily life. About how softness, care, and even a little squeak can become part of who we are. Sometimes the smallest things hold the biggest feelings. For me, plastic pants are one of those. Those shiny, puffed little waterproof covers weren’t just fabric. They were an era. They were the sound of childhood. On warm spring and summer days, they were practically the uniform: a diaper underneath, a soft T-shirt on top, and those billowy pants puffing and squeaking with every move. Backyards were full of it—kids running, tumbling, climbing—a whole chorus of crinkles. I didn’t think much about it then. It was just… normal. But the details stuck. The tug of elastic at my waist. The puff of air as they slid ...

Fitness Friday: Beyond the VDL – Layers of Confidence for the Yoga Mom Life

Image
We’ve talked about VDL—that visible diaper line that can sneak through your leggings if you’re not careful. But honestly? Sometimes it’s not about your leggings at all. It’s about what you slip on over them. That’s where tops, tunics, and quick cover-ups work their magic. The right layer can take you from studio to street in one move—smoothing outlines, adding flow, and wrapping you in a kind of softness that feels both confident and cozy. Here’s how Alice makes it work: 1. The Tunic Trick 🖤 Length matters: Look for something that hits between mid-hip and mid-thigh. It’s enough coverage to blur lines without drowning your shape. 🌸 Details distract: Ruffled hems, embroidered edges, and flowing fabric pull the eye away from your diaper area—and toward your intentional style. 🧘‍♀️ How I wear it: A black embroidered tunic over olive leggings. Or a pastel swishy tunic over navy yoga pants. It doesn’t scream “camouflage”—it whispers “chic.” 💭 How it feels: When I walk out of yoga an...

Wardrobe Wednesday - A Week in Yoga Pants and Leggings with Alice

Image
One of the things I’ve learned about myself is that life feels softer, easier, and more authentic when I lean into what makes me comfortable. For me, that means wearing yoga pants and leggings as my daily uniform—and yes, having the security of diapers and plastic pants underneath. I used to think leggings were only for the gym or lounging at home. But this past week, I committed to living fully in them: seven days, no exceptions. Just outfits, outings, and daily life. Here’s how it unfolded: Monday: A Simple Start I began the week with olive drab leggings and a black embroidered tunic with a ruffled hem. The tunic floated just low enough to soften outlines, while the leggings remained the focus. Black boots grounded the look. Running errands used to be filled with dread, but this outfit let me feel composed and relaxed. I even caught my reflection in a shop window and thought: Yes. This is me. Tuesday: Yoga Flow For yoga, I wore lavender 7/8 leggings with a white tank over my sports b...

🌸 Style Notes: Living in Leggings 🌸

Image
Hi loves, it’s Alice. 💕 I’ve been thinking a lot about how leggings aren’t just clothing—they’re comfort, expression, and a little daily hug for our bodies. Whether you’re padded like me, heading to yoga, or just slipping into something soft for coffee with friends, leggings can be styled a hundred different ways. Today I’m sharing some of my favorite tips for making them feel natural, playful, and totally you. ✨ Keep It Simple (and Soft) A solid black, navy, or wine pair can be your best friend. Pair them with a cozy hoodie or flowy tunic and you’re instantly chic without trying. Sometimes the softest look is the strongest. Accessorize with Intention Scrunchies on the wrist. Lip gloss. Your tote bag (mine always smells like perfume and carries everything). Accessories frame your leggings, so they feel like part of a whole outfit. Play with Length Long tanks, tunics, or flowing tops balance leggings beautifully. I love the swish of a hemline over snug legs—it’s movement, so...

🌿 Support Sunday Roadmap: Cycle Two (Weeks 10–18)

Image
Sweet friends, we’ve walked through the first nine weeks of  Support Sunday  together—building awareness, creating a foundation, and learning that softness and strength aren’t opposites, but partners in pelvic floor health. Cycle Two is about  Soft Strength & Release . Think of it as unwrapping a new season of gifts—each Sunday offering another way to breathe, stretch, and honor the body you live in (yes, every body, exactly as it is). Weeks 10–12: Restorative Expansion We’ll begin with longer, supported holds—postures that whisper to the pelvic floor,  “It’s safe to let go.” Week 10: Reclined Bound Angle Pose (Supta Baddha Konasana) Deep pelvic floor relaxation, supported with pillows or bolsters. Week 11: Supported Bridge (with block) A gentler, longer hold version of Bridge—emphasizing release over strength. Week 12: Legs Over Bolster A variation of Legs-Up-the-Wall without the wall—portable, comforting, deeply grounding. Weeks 13–15: Strength & Flow Once ...
