AME Yoga Shorts: A Review for Comfort, Movement, and Incontinence
Recently, I came across AME Yoga’s yoga shorts - women's + men's Pune style yoga bloomers, and I knew I had to try them. They have a soft, rounded, almost “petal-like” cut with a generous waistband that immediately felt promising. After giving them a real test, I want to share how they worked for me—and hopefully help others who might be in the same boat. ๐ธ
Fit & Feel
-
Waistband: Wide, soft, and stretchy—no digging in, which is a blessing when layered over thicker protection.
-
Leg Openings: The bloomers have extra room at the thighs with a gathered hem, which drapes nicely instead of clinging. That means no sharp diaper outline showing through.
-
Rise & Coverage: High enough to give good coverage, even when bending and stretching.
-
Fabric: Light, breathable, and super comfortable on the skin—no swish or rustle.
Yoga & Movement Test
I wore these to restorative yoga (lots of stretching, folding, and holding poses). Honestly, they surprised me:
-
They flowed with me beautifully.
-
No tugging or adjusting needed.
-
Most importantly—no visible diaper line VDL even when my mat neighbor was only a foot away. ๐ธ
I also tested them just for lounging around the house, and they’re perfect for that too—soft and roomy without feeling sloppy.
For Those of Us Who Wear Protection
Let’s be honest: finding activewear that doesn’t scream “diaper” is tough. These bloomers are roomy enough for thicker protection and still look like stylish yoga shorts. I felt covered, and confident. That’s huge.
If you’re like me—living life proudly padded but still wanting to flow, move, and feel beautiful—these shorts are absolutely worth trying.
Closing
I’ll keep testing them in different classes, and I’ll share updates soon. It means the world to find clothing that works with our bodies, not against them.
Have any of you found other yoga shorts or bloomers that work well over diapers? I’d love to hear your experiences too ๐
