🩷 Wardrobe Wednesday: I Swapped My Joggers for These Old Navy Short Shorts — and They’re Just as Comfortable 🩷

Short Girl Summer is here, and these are my go-tos…
Mint, black, soft, padded, proud—and all me.

Each week, I’ll be sharing real-life outfit ideas, tips, and reflections on how I dress for yoga, the gym, and daily life while managing incontinence. For me, that means wearing thick diapers and plastic baby pants under everything I own—and still showing up with softness, style, and confidence.

As a self-proclaimed athleisure enthusiast (with an overflowing closet to prove it—okay, maybe more of an aspiring expert), I’ve tried it all: leggings, yoga pants, joggers, you name it. I’m still building my dream wardrobe one pair of yoga pants at a time—but if there’s one thing I’ve become very particular about, it’s fabric.

When I find a material I love, I stay loyal—and this summer, my loyalty has a new favorite form: shorts.

I’ve long been a fan of Old Navy’s Studio Smooth, PowerSoft, and Dynamic Fleece lines. So when I saw their shorts in the same dreamy materials, I had to try them. Let me just say: I’m officially swapping out my joggers for these soft, supportive little miracles.

(And don’t worry—I’ll always love my leggings and flare yoga pants. But this summer? I’m definitely letting a little more leg show.)

💚 PowerSoft High-Waisted Shorts – 3.5-inch Inseam
These are sleek, sculpting, and unbelievably smooth—like a peach-soft hug wrapped around my hips and thighs. The fabric is lightweight and breathable, perfect for errands, yoga, or relaxing in comfort.

I wore mine to Yoga Nidra recently, and the girls were so kind. One even told me I looked cute—and honestly? I felt that way too. These shorts helped me feel relaxed, supported, and seen.

🍃 Dynamic Fleece Extra High-Waisted Shorts – 3.5-inch Inseam
These were such a happy surprise. Cozy without being bulky, with a plush-but-light feel and an extra-high waistband that holds me in gently all day.

They’re short—but just right. Just enough to show some leg and give me a soft confidence boost. I have them in black and luminous mint green, and both colors are fun, versatile, and easy to style.

☀️ My Summer Style Shift
These shorts have quickly become my warm-weather go-tos. They’re cute, comfortable, and—maybe best of all—they fit beautifully over my thicker diapers and plastic pants. No squeezing, no awkward lines. Just a soft, secure fit that works with me.

The high waistband helps everything stay in place, and the short inseam adds a playful, airy feel that makes even my most padded days feel light and lovely.

Of course, I still slip back into my leggings and yoga pants often. Shorts are wonderful, but sometimes I just need that long, gentle hug from waist to ankle—especially when the AC is blasting or I’m feeling extra puffy.

Whether I’m off to a juice bar, heading into class, or just twirling in the mirror before bed, these shorts make me feel calm, capable, and completely myself.

A Little Extra Magic
At Yoga Nidra the other night, one of the girls complimented my tote. She asked to take a closer look, and I let her. She didn’t peek inside—but maybe she sensed what I carry, quietly and confidently.

Then she smiled and said:

“You smell heavenly.”

I returned the smile. “That would be Bois de Balincourt.”

And in that soft moment—just her smile and my scent—I felt seen.

The layers. The shimmer. The softness. The crinkle.

And I realized something beautiful:

Yes, I wear thick diapers.
Yes, I wear plastic pants.
And yes—these shorts still make me feel absolutely wonderful.
