Pelvic Floor Yoga™ with Leslie Howard

Leslie Howard is an Oakland-based yoga teacher specializing in pelvic wellness. She teaches workshops and trainings nationwide and is the author of Pelvic Liberation, a comprehensive guide to caring for the female pelvis.

A regular presenter at Yoga Journal conferences and a contributing writer for Yoga Journal magazine, Leslie's journey began with her own struggles healing from hip and pelvic pain. That experience led her to a deep exploration of anatomy, physiology, cultural messaging, history, and the energetics of the pelvic region.

Her teaching is grounded in over 3,500 hours of yoga study, primarily in the Iyengar tradition. She considers Ramanand Patel her most influential teacher and mentor. Leslie has also collaborated with UCSF to design two successful studies on using yoga to alleviate incontinence and pelvic pain.

Each year, she speaks to hundreds of women and men about anatomy, posture, breath, and yoga-based practices in her signature method, Pelvic Floor Yoga™. Her approach has helped many individuals experience significant relief from pelvic floor dysfunction, often reducing or eliminating the need for surgery or medication.
