Mint Green & Smiles – My International Day of Yoga

Today was International Day of Yoga, and for once, I didn’t just watch from the sidelines or dream about participating. I showed up—as Alice.

The class was outdoors, welcoming, and beautifully attended. Mats spread like petals across the grass. The energy was soft and happy, like sunshine wrapped in breath.

And my outfit? absolutely killer:

  • Mint green 7/8 leggings, hugging the soft puff of my diaper just right
  • A matching mint sport bra, peeking from under the breezy fabric
  • My flowing green boho embroidered tunic layered on top, catching the breeze with every pose
  • My beloved Lululemon tote slung on my shoulder, with scrunchies and secrets dangling like charms

I stretched. I smiled. I crinkled softly in Down Dog. And I was seen. And I was safe.

After the class, there was coffee and snacks—little cups and muffins and clusters of conversation. And Alice… didn’t shy away. I stayed. I chatted. I smiled back at the knowing looks. I was one of them—a yoga mom in her element.

Some asked if I’d be back for regular classes. I said:

Sure. Alice always comes back to her mat.

And that wasn’t just a cute line. It was true.

๐ŸŒฑ Reflection – One with the Mat, One with Myself

Today I didn’t hide.

I arrived. I flowed. I stretched beside strangers who smiled and made space for me.

No one questioned the tunic, or the tote, or the mint green magic beneath it.

They just welcomed me.

I didn’t feel like the odd one. I felt like one of the girls. One of the yogis.

One of the people who show up for themselves.

And maybe, just maybe…

Alice’s yoga journey is only just beginning.
